Judith Okuonzia Tomma

WP 4 PhD researcher

Judith is a PhD researcher in Workpackage 4: Smallholders' Weather- and Climate-related Knowledge ∞ Action Networks, working with Ugandan smallholder coffee farmers. She is based both at Makerere University and Wageningen University.

Judith is a Ugandan professional with over eight years of experience working at the intersection of research, humanitarian-development programming, and natural resources management. She is passionate about conserving and restoring ecosystems while promoting sustainable and inclusive agricultural development. Her work has centered on participatory approaches, climate-smart agriculture, gender-responsive programming, and nature-based solutions that strengthen food security and improve livelihoods for vulnerable communities.
