Halaze Manhice

Halaze Manhice is a PhD researcher in Workpackage 4: Smallholders' Weather- and Climate-related Knowledge ∞ Action Networks, working with Mozambican smallholder cotton farmers. She is based both at the Eduardo Mondlane University and Wageningen University.
Halaze is a Junior Lecturer and Researcher at Eduardo Mondlane University's School of Marine and Coastal Science in Mozambique. Her academic journey began with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Marine Biology and Fisheries Management from Eduardo Mondlane University. Currently, her professional experience spans over a decade, where she has worked as a lecturer, consultant, and project coordinator on topics ranging from fisheries governance and marine ecology to climate science and spatial planning. A recent highlight is her role as the Head of the Centro de Estudos Costeiros, where she oversees research and extension projects on coastal ecosystem resilience.
