A unique site for learning and reflection:
The Climares Academy
The Climares Academy (CA) is an ongoing learning and reflection site for the PhD researchers and other participants in Climares. The CA will provide courses and skills training and a platform for exchange and reflection. Concentrated coursework will occur during the CA’s two-month starting period, followed by weekly online full days of learning and reflection. The Academy is based on a pedagogy of praxis that combines critical analysis and reflection, participatory approaches and hands-on knowledge and skills.
Its unique form of training and supervision has several advantages that will foster impact-oriented academic researchers.
By working across five countries and with five populations, Climares will generate knowledge that is relevant for other contexts and populations. By working with 11 K∞A networks Climares will yield insights in the factors that help or hinder such networks, which will lead to a model approach that can be applied beyond the areas where Climares works.
