Climares Inception Meeting

From 6-14 December 2025, Climares organised its inception meeting at the Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech, Morocco. The inception workshop brought together consortium partners; WP leads, country coordinators, cooperation partners and PhD candidates. During the workshop we started the co-creation of the conceptual, methodological, and ethical building blocks of Climares. It was also an opportunity to experience and further shape the interdisciplinary character of the consortium, and of course to build our Climares team and to get to know each other better.

Part of the workshop programme took place in a plenary room to ensure we developed a common understanding of approaches, whereas other parts of the programme took place in groups organised along workpackage or country for further development of workpackage plans for the year ahead, and refinement of ideas.

This inception workshop was the first of three consortium-wide workshops which will be held. During the next workshops we will focus more on reviewing the results, co-analysing findings and drawing cross-case comparisons.
