Climares Academy

The Climares Academy (CA) is an ongoing learning and reflection site for the PhD researchers and other participants in Climares. The Climares Academy started with two months of intensive training for which the PhD researchers were hosted by our partner, the Institut Agronomique et Vétérinaire Hassan II in Rabat, Morocco. The PhD researchers were trained by alternating members of the consortium on the following thematic, skills and methods modules:
- The climate change story
- Livelihoods in contexts of climate change: Relational and intersectional perspectives
- Locally-led climate adaptation
- Academic writing
- How to manage your PhD
- Starting your research proposal
- People-centred fieldwork and qualitative data generation
- Observational qualitative methods
- Research ethics, integrity, and safety & security
After the training, the researchers had the opportunity to present their first research ideas during the inception meeting.
